Video review: Garmin nuvi 200

Posted on 14th March 2012 by ConnorSephton

The Garmin Nuvi 200 is an entry-level sat nav that is great for basic and functional use. It’s square screen means that it’s one of the most compact on the market, and is perfect for small cars. It comes preinstalled with stree-level maps of Great Britain and Ireland, but unlike the slightly more expensive nuvi 250, it does not have street-level maps of the rest

of Europe.

It has a 3.5” screen which is significantly smaller than

most on the market, but given its low price and compact nature, it shouldn’t really come as a surprise to the consumer.

It doesn’t offer anything like 3D terrain view or landmarks view, which is disappointing, but when you’re purchasing an entry level product you do have to expect drawbacks like this.

The screen resolution is perfect satisfactory, at 320 x 240 pixels. It’s not incredible quality, no, but it does its job and it’s great for people who don’t need anything fancy.
