Nokia to unveil offline maps on its sat nav system?

Nokia has already assured us that they will not be offering their sat nav app for Windows Phones other than their Nokia devices, but now they’re also claiming to be able to make the experience even better and more exclusive for Nokia users. The app team is rumoured to be planning offline maps mode, which will allow users to use their phone as a sat nav without eating up any of their data.

The lack of offline map mode was outlined by many tech blogs late last year, and it’s only a matter of time before we see this great feature implemented onto Nokia devices – at least, we expect it to. The app works across 95 countries already, making it one of the most popular sat nav apps available, and this new enhancement is expected to boost Nokia sales if the French phone manufacturer is able to advertise it right.
