Features to look for in a sat nav

One of the best features to look for in a sat nav is the touch screen, though, they’re pretty common. Most sat navs these days use a touch screen, given that they’re easy to operate when you’re in the car. Rarely, you’ll see sat navs with keyboards, and this is often seen as quite difficult to use in the car.

3D mapping is a great feature on modern sat navs. Some sat navs still only offer 2D mapping, and whilst this is perfectly functional, it can get a little confusing driving looking at a birds-eye map!

3D mapping allows you to see the roads in front of you in three dimensions, and some sat navs even incorporate Google streetview into the map. This is one feature that you should look out for in the high end devices.

Choose your features carefully, based on your budget and your needs!

I have a Garman sat nav, recently I noteced when the sat nav is pluged in the car, the screen goes dull, making it difficult to see. Otherwise when pluged in to a household plug the screen becomes clear to see. I wander if you could give me any advise.
